WelcomeThe Roy Genomics Shared Facility is a resource of the School of Natural Sciences Centers of Excellence. It was founded in 2007 to promote and develop the use of molecular biology in research programs at the University of California Merced. The mission of the Roy Genomics Core Facility is to provide quality service by fulfilling the needs of the research faculty in a consistently rapid, dependable, and economical fashion. Services include DNA sequencing, using state-of-the-art instrumentation (ABI Prism 3130xl Genetic Analyzer) and the latest protocols to ensure great quality at a reasonable price. The facility also houses a high-throughput Genetix QBOT for picking, replicating, and rearraying colonies and a DeRisi MicroArray printer which will be available in the near future.
